NAUVOO, Ill. Ü Edward W. Radel, 85, of rural Nauvoo, Ill., died at 8:14 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2003, at his home.
He was born on Sept. 13, 1917, in Nauvoo, the son of Roy F. and Valeria Krueger Radel. He married Lilah Ruth Carlisle on Oct. 31, 1942, in Nauvoo. She survives. 

He was preceded in death by a son, David Radel; a sister, Marjory Peck; and two brothers, Max Radel and James Radel.
